BIO

Susan O'Quinn is a Newfoundland singer-songwriter & performing artist.  Born and raised in Stephenville, Newfoundland, Susan's

deeply rooted Acadian Mi'kmaq heritage can be felt in her music. Susan lives in Mississauga, Ontario where she is self-employed as a Registered Social Worker.  Through music, she embraces creativity and self expression as powerful tools for creating wellness.

Susan’s music & lyrics reflect her personal/professional experiences and her perspective on global societal issues.  A longtime private passion, in 2015, Susan was moved to share her music in response to Canada's Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s ‘Call to Action’. Susan has a deep understanding of the pain that is present in our lives and in our world and has long viewed music as integral to healing and personal wellness.   In sharing her music, she hopes to help advance wellness, spiritual growth, and human consciousness.

Susan’s voice and songwriting have been described as “organic”, “intuitive”, “raw”, “unique” and “soul speak”.  Interestingly, Susan would use the same words to describe herself.

Susan's debut EP "FACE the LIGHT" includes 3 songs that speak to the inner process of embracing our highest self, awakening to spiritual connectedness and fulfilling our soul contract. FACE THE LIGHT was produced and arranged in Toronto, Ontario by multi-award winning producer Chris Birkett (Sinead O’Connor, Buffy Sainte Marie).
